Last Monday night, Stonehaven Chess Club faced St Andrews B in our latest TAFCA league match. It was a hard fought contest but we narrowly lost 2.5 – 1.5.
- Lewis Matheson secured a strong win against Leo Olson
- Bruce Harrold held his ground for a draw against Carrick Simpson
- Michael Clayton made his debut for the team, putting up a great fight against Eve Kenicer
Despite the result, there were plenty of positives to take from the match. We’ll regroup and look ahead to our next challenge!
